Ascha of Corhagen
From Iced Fire anims Wiki
Ascha of Corhagen is a paladin of the Gods of the Forge, often referred to as the Judges. She is an anthropomorphic Eastern Dragon, often called Lungs, (as adapted in her world), which is a rare sight in the western worlds (rarer still than the oft-noble Western Dragons).

Creation
Ascha is a broad name for a series of characters on a particular MU*. This Ascha has become the primary character for the name outside of the MU*. She was invented when discussing a scenario with a friend on there.
History
Ascha was born within the alleyways of corrupt Corhagen to a homeless, eastern dragon who's husband had run off when he heard she was pregnant. Her mother barely survived the ordeal and they struggled to shape a life together. Her mother was killed by a pair of thugs when Ascha was no more than 6. She had to survive by begging, panhandling, and sometimes offering some services for pittance. She ended up becoming bitter at a rather young age. She was taken in at 12 by someone she had befriended. This tiger named Jelan soon became her adoptive father, which softened her outlook on life. He is the head priest at the temple of the Gods of the Forge. She selected the ways of the paladin and became a competent warrior early in her life. She mastered the art of combat and had the honor of becoming one of the Favored, paladins and priests who are given particular attention from the pantheon. Both to get away from Corhagen and fulfill a personal oath to find help for her adoptive sister, she is usually out traveling the road as a mercenary.
Abilities
Ascha is quite powerful. Bolstered by her gods, her martial abilities are difficult to match. She is a master of the bastard sword and is also a vicious hand-to-hand fighter. She uses a style she developed from mixing temple's martial arts disciplines, her own brawling experience in the streets avoiding bullies, thugs and strays, and her natural grace.
Her powers as a paladin are also vast. She practices divine magic. Her healing capabilities rival that of experienced priests. She favors martial powers, often bolstering her strength, stunning her foes, enchanting her blade or shielding herself or others from direct harm. As a Favored, she has the ability to summon an Arbiter, a snake like creature that are the direct servant and soldiers of the Gods of the Forge. Unquestionably, the arbiters will aid her in combat in exchange for a number of months in warservice (varying from summon to summon), should the Gods ever do battle with another pantheon. By now, Ascha has gathered a year and two months.
As a blue dragon, she is gifted with a breath weapon: the ability to spit forth a powerful, vicious hailstorm in a cone. She is, however, reluctant to use it. She was not taught in the use of this ability and is guaranteed to be wounded by her own breath. It chaffs, cuts and freezes her lips and snout surface and leaves a burning, painful feeling in her throat. Nevertheless, what she lacks in grace when using it she makes up for it with its sheer power. This is an innate, druidic ability.
Relations
Family
- Ascha's mother is long dead, killed by a wolf and tiger pair of bandit thugs in the alleyways. Ascha did manage to escape and is often haunted by that night as nightmares.
- Ascha's adoptive sister, who is also adopted by Ascha's father, is a rare sight as well. She is an elf and is currently afflicted with a magical disease that leaves her feverish, blind and often delusional or nightmare-afflicted. None have managed to cure her through divine or arcane means. Ascha travels in the hope of finding someone who might have an idea on how to cure her.
- Jelen is Ascha's adoptive father, a powerful priest and head of the temple of the Gods of the Forge. He is a tall and wide tiger.
Friends
- Azalea is a seer and magess, the sister of the lord of Jembourgh, Devon. She is a wyrm, a western dragon, and just like the standard for dragons in the western world, she is a noble. She can be rather agile and daring, but her abilities are the highest in her practice of arcane magic, shadowing as a mechanik. Ascha met her at a traveler's inn, not far from the Jewel of the North. Azalea hired her as an escort to travel to ruins located deep within a set of mountains. They have traveled together since then. Ascha is deeply in love with her, but is rather unsure how to make it known or how Azalea might react to the thought. Azalea considers Ascha as only a dear friend, as far as the lung knows. Azalea is generally rather mysterious when it comes to her own feelings.
- Silla is one of Ascha's confident and tells her just about everything on her mind. She is, in a way, her servant or handmaiden when she is in the temple, though the lung considers the vixen as a close friend instead.
Possessions
Equipment
- Sword: Ascha's bastard sword is finely crafted for balance and its hilt is a little past a hand and a half.
- Armor: Ascha's armor has a breastplate with a raised backneck, two removable pauldrons, a chainmail undershirt, two leather thigh guards along with her reinforced clothes.
Misc
- Music box: On her 5th birthday, Ascha's mother had saved just enough extra money to buy a gift for her daughter. This music box, with a skillfully made engraving of her mother on the inside, is all that she has left to remember her mother by. She keeps it with her at all times and is extremely possessive of it.
- Favored pendant: Acting as her holy symbol, this pendant replaces the typical blessed flame that most other paladins and priests carry. It is casted by the Gods and conjured by the head priest himself. As a very last ditch effort, she can order her pendant to break apart in exchange for a single Miracle-type spell. Doing so would make her lose her status as a favored until she can gain even more respect to get a new pendant. She wears it either around her neck or tied behind the tip of her tail.
